When they do appear, it is a sign that the gastric cancer is already at a very advanced stage.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the main symptoms are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>heartburn or indigestion;<\/li>\n<li>stomach pains;<\/li>\n<li>nausea or vomiting;<\/li>\n<li>unexplained loss of appetite;<\/li>\n<li>unexpected weight loss;<\/li>\n<li>feeling of fullness after eating very little food;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Gastric cancer is more difficult to diagnose early, as its symptoms take time to appear. Generally, the diagnosis occurs after routine examinations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/endoscopiaterapeutica.com.br\/pacientes\/endoscopia-digestiva-alta\">Endoscopy<\/a>, an examination that allows the doctor to identify abnormal areas inside the stomach. If suspected, a fragment of the tissue is removed for laboratory tests (biopsy);<\/li>\n<li>Computed tomography of the abdomen, chest, and pelvis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How the treatment is done<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The treatment of gastric cancer may involve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>surgery to remove parts of the stomach;<\/li>\n<li>chemotherapy to fight cancer cells in the body with medication;<\/li>\n<li>radiotherapy to kill cancer cells in the stomach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the cancer is large enough to block the digestive tube, there are some procedures that can be done to deal with the situation.
